Cookie Richards was born in Philadelphia and raised in a small suburb called Bala Cynwyd. After attending the local day school from pre-Nursery through 12th grade, she spent two years learning in a teacher’s seminary in Jerusalem. Upon her return, she attended Lander College for Women (Touro Manhattan). She left after three semesters to pursue her psychology degree online and started working as a preschool teacher in her hometown. She worked closely with her mother, who has been teaching preschool for almost 30 years. She moved to the Pico area in November 2011 after marrying Yehoshua Richards.
