Seema Gersten was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She is a graduate of Bais Rivkah Seminary. She received her BA from Touro College NYC and her Masters in Education from Brooklyn College School of Education. After many successful years of teaching in the greater New York area she moved to LA and has continued to inspire and motivate young children. She is the founder and primary speaker for The Early Edge, which provides a variety of professional development workshops and seminars for early childhood professionals, teachers, parents and administrators. Mrs. Gersten is proud to have a strong affiliation with Columbia University Teacher's College Reading and Writing Workshop where she has attended multiple institutes on teaching reading and writing as well as coaching teachers in the reading and writing workshop approach. She is a published author and professional comedian who enjoys her monthly book group as well as her weekly Mah Jong game. Mrs. Gersten and her husband Seth are the proud parents of two Emek graduates and one UCLA graduate- Go Bruins!

Rivka Blauner was born and raised in the valley and graduated from Emek. Rivka taught for 6 years in our Kindergarten prior to moving to the Pre-1st. She obtained her degree in child development along with specialized certificates from LAVC and is always finding new and exciting child development classes to further her education. She currently has two boys attending Emek.

Fraida Rimson has lived in different states in the US, as well as Canada and Israel. Her experience working with children began at a young age in life, in a variety of capacities. In 2011, she has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts as well as a Certificate in Architecture. Although she has endeavored other creative interests, ultimately her love for children and desire to touch lives has led her to pursue a career in Jewish education. She is deeply passionate about nurturing the innate spirituality of youth and fostering a loving and nurturing classroom environment.
